Indian White water |
The mighty Himalayas which stretch along the northern frontier
of the Indian sub continent are the source of some of the greatest
navigable rivers in the world. The Ganges, The Satluj, The Indus,
The Zanskar and The Brahmaputra ( Xiang ) to name a few. Fed
by the mighty glaciers and a vast network of streams breaking
into milky white Rapids as they race down to the plains. These
rivers and their tributaries offer some of the best white water
at different scales of difficulty.
For a professional or a novice the experience of running these
white waters through spectacular countryside, at times inaccessible
by any other means of transport is ethernal. Travelling by a
raft going through spectacular gorges , camping on the river
beaches offers an oppertunity to experience this unique aspect
of River life.
The sample itineraries give the best for both rafting and kayaking.
It is also possible to design and operate river expeditions
to suit a personal choice of area, degree of difficulty and
duration. |

| Wild
Zanskar Expedition |
| River Zanskar Known as " The Grand Canyon of Asia"
is the best river rafting that India has to offer. It is a classic
trip rafting through the moonlike landscape of Zanskar region
in the higher Himalayas. The highlight of the trip is the Gorge
section of the river , the land scape and the buzz of rafting
at an altitude of 4000 mtrs. This is a self contained five days
rafting expedition as this area is very remote and inaccessible
by any other means of transportation. |

| River
Satluj |
| The river Satluj originates from " The Holy Lake Mansarover
" and is one of the most valuable water sources to mankind
in this part of the world and it offers probably the most challanging
white water rafting in the western Himalayas. It is an ideal
river for those who have been rafting before and are looking
for non stop adreneline pumping class IV rapids all the way
and a good blend of a few Class V rapids in between. |
